BKT SM-68 GoKart Challenge: An Exhilarating Adventure for Novices <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A pleasant afternoon with the rain clouds kept at bay set the stage for an exciting go-karting experience at Lubowa Karting, off Entebbe Road. Thanks to Mr. Emil Kwame Ampofo, a proud user of BKT Tyres, who invited the Mandela Group team to participate in the BKT SM-68 Go-Kart Challenge 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event had a dual purpose: to foster team spirit driven by CEO Mr. Venkatesh Kumar and to test the recently supplied BKT go-kart tyres in the Ugandan environment. For most of us, it was our first time to enter a go-kart challenge, so we approached the experience with a mix of skeptical enthusiasm and excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The go-karting marshals at Lubowa Karting made us feel at home and comfortable, ensuring the place remained tidy and welcoming. After a brief introduction, each self-proclaimed racer and soon-to-be go-karter set off on the circuit for a formation lap, followed by a thrilling 5-minute practice race in batches of 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The formation lap taught us a valuable lesson: “Only a fool tests the depth of a river with both feet.” Many of us, myself included, focused more on speed rather than understanding the nuances of handling a go-kart. This experience can be likened to the approach needed in business, where one must navigate market vagaries and unknown factors cautiously, maintaining a steady pace to achieve success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chicanes proved to be the real test, challenging our consistency and control, which are crucial for accomplishing desired results in go-karting and in business. As we progressed from the qualifier round to the semi-finals and finals, the energy and enthusiasm of each team member, finalist or not, demonstrated the strong team spirit that drives Mandela Group’s success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lydiah Oyori, a member of the track team and a potential rally driver!!, impressed everyone with her determination and skills, causing quite a stir among the men. Thankfully, we didn’t have any DNFs (did not finish), demonstrating the dedication, perseverance and commitment of each team member, which reflects Mandela Group’s commitment to service and safety. This was evident in the well-maintained circuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
