Tyre retreading, also known as re-capping, is a process that gives new life to worn-out tyres. Once a new tyre has worn down 85% of its tread rubber on the crown area, it is recommended that it be removed for retreading.
Tyre retreading significantly reduces the environmental impact, compared to manufacturing new tyres, by conserving resources, lowering emissions, diverting waste from landfills and enabling recycling of materials.
