Embarking on my second enchanting visit to Nepal was a dream come true, especially as I shared this unforgettable 5-day adventure with 21 incredible colleagues from the Mandela Group, Uganda. Together, we delved into the stunning sights of Kathmandu, soaked in the serene beauty of Pokhara, marveled at the breathtaking views from Sarangkot and reveled in the tranquil landscapes of Nagarkot. Without a doubt, Nepal is a true gift from the heavens.
From the moment we touched down, the captivating weather and enchanting scenery wrapped around us like a warm embrace. The warm-hearted people of Nepal transformed our journey into a heartwarming experience, welcoming us with genuine smiles and a spirit of friendship that fostered a wonderful sense of belonging – something truly rare in today’s world.
Our culinary adventure was nothing short of delightful, featuring a rich tapestry of traditional flavors that beautifully encapsulated the essence of Nepali culture. Each meal was a feast for the senses, immersing us in the vibrant traditions and culinary artistry of this remarkable nation.
Our accommodations at the Annapurna View Hotel and Kathmandu Marriott Hotel were the perfect blend of luxury and eco-conscious comfort. After our daily escapades, we found solace in these havens, where the environment was respected and our senses pampered.
The memories of our boat rides on Phewa Lake and Bagnas Lake linger sweetly in our minds, while the thrill of paragliding and riding the cable car left us exhilarated. We embarked on long trekking adventures, spent quality time with local communities and enjoyed vibrant nightlife filled with singing, dining, and shopping in Pokhara. Highlights included a Cultural Dinner Show with traditional dance, a delightful lunch at the Fishtail Restaurant, and the exquisite ambience of The Dwarika’s. The friendly immigration team and the stunning airport in Pokhara added to the warmth of our experience.
Regardless of one’s religious background, the serene atmosphere of Nepal instills a profound sense of peace and tranquility. The cleanliness and sincerity of the people are evident at every turn, enhancing the overall experience.
