As a CEO who has worked in Africa for over 17 years, I’ve witnessed the continent’s vibrant and diverse landscapes. During this time, my main hobby has been photography, which has allowed me to see this lively world positively. I am an active photographer on https://www.photocrowd.com/ and have maintained my ranking in the top 300.

Capturing the Essence of Africa

Africa is a continent rich in culture, history and natural beauty. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to various parts of the continent and my Canon camera has always been my constant companion. Through the lens, I’ve captured the essence of Africa – the warmth of the people, the grandeur of the landscapes and the energy of the cities.

Inspiring Colleagues through Photography

One of the things that I’ve found most rewarding about my photography hobby is the ability to inspire my colleagues. By sharing their stories through my photographs, I’ve ignited a sense of wonder and appreciation for the world around us. I have had several shoots of modelling photography, all of which were our colleagues at work, and I am happy to perceive them like models. This inspires them and motivates them to become successful businesspeople in society.

Fostering a Positive Mindset

Photography has also helped me cultivate a more positive and livelier outlook. When I’m out in the field, capturing the world’s beauty, it’s easy to forget the stresses and challenges of the corporate world. This has allowed me to bring a more upbeat and energetic presence to the office, which has had a ripple effect on my colleagues.

Encouraging Collaboration and Creativity

By sharing my photography with my colleagues, I’ve fostered a sense of collaboration and creativity within the team. We’ve discussed the technical aspects of photography, the stories behind the images and how we can apply these principles to our day-to-day work.

Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion

Africa is a diverse continent, and my photography has allowed me to celebrate this diversity. By sharing images of the different cultures, traditions and landscapes, I’ve promoted a greater understanding and appreciation for the continent’s diversity.

Concluson

With over 17 years’ experience in Africa, I’ve found that my photography hobby has been a valuable tool for inspiring and engaging me to achieve my personal and professional goals. I encourage everyone to explore their passions and hobbies and find ways to share and spread happiness worldwide. I have shown a good interest in photography, which has changed my behaviour and approach. So, what is yours?
